What to expect
An 8-hour Full Day Inshore trip out of 70 West Marina on the Crystal Coast is steady-paced: periods of active sight-fishing, drift or anchored presenting, and short transits between spots. Expect a mix of sight-casting, light tackle casting, and bait presentations for tarpon, common snook, Acadian redfish, and fast-moving ladyfish. You’ll alternate focused bursts of action with quieter downtime for rigging, instruction, and scenery. Boat seating is comfortable but exposed—brief walking/movement on deck is required. Guides will assist with gear and fish handling; be ready for occasional splashes, wind, and changing conditions.
What to bring
Layered clothing: lightweight moisture-wicking base, insulating mid-layer, lightweight waterproof shell. Hat with brim, polarized sunglasses, and high-SPF sunscreen (reef-safe recommended). Non-slip deck shoes and a light pair of gloves or finger covers for handling fish. Small cooler or insulated pack with at least 1–2 liters water per person plus electrolyte drink; portable lunch (sandwich, wraps, energy bars), salty snacks, and fruit for sustained energy. Small zip-lock for wet items, waterproof phone case, motion-sickness remedies if needed, personal ID and any needed meds.
