What to expect
A 6-hour fly trip focused on tight mangroves and heavy structure is all about surgical casting and quick strip sets. You’ll work off the bow punching baitfish patterns and gurglers tight against root systems, shaded overhangs, and downed timber to trigger aggressive snook and redfish ambush strikes. The extended time window lets you ride prime moving tides through backcountry creeks, pick apart undercut banks for snapper and trout, and hit current-swept mangrove points for rolling tarpon.
What to bring
Polarized sunglasses are a must for spotting fish, and lightweight long-sleeve shirts, pants, a hat, and sunscreen are strongly recommended for sun protection. All fly rods, reels, and custom flies are provided on board. An iced-down cooler stocked with bottled waters is ready for the day, with plenty of extra room for any snacks or drinks you would like to bring.
