He guides inshore flats and sandbar water across the Crystal Coast, Cape Fear Coast, Down East areas of North Carolina and the Paradise Coast out of Chokoloskee, FL. Jack brings a calm, patient approach to the water and focuses on clear, practical instruction—casting fundamentals, line management, sight-fishing on saltgrass and sand, and reading flats—to help anglers of all levels build skill and confidence. He runs a 2022 Drake Outlaw bay boat (17 ft, capacity 3) for inshore outings and fishes primarily with a Mauser Fly Fishing Waterman 9' fast-action 8wt, Hatch Iconic reel, and Airflo Superflo Flats floating line. He rigs flies for sight-fishing and can provide client gear as needed. I will contact within 24 hours of our trip to let you know what to expect and how the day should unfold. But in general, depending on tides, we will fish the mangrove edges blind casting while we wait for good sun and then once sun is up - we will blast off to find clean water for sight fishing.
Please bring appropriate clothing and food items. I will provide water and cooler full of ice.
